I have created this blog mainly to preserve various books and articles written by my father, DIGAVALLI VENKATA SIVARAO garu (1898-1992). I am thankful to my friend Mr. G.R.K Murthy for giving me the idea of preserving his published works by posting on this blog.   During his life time, my father did  historical research especially of the British India period and published a few books and many articles in various news papers and magazines.  Besides his professional work as a lawyer he pursued literary work. Being a lawyer and a writer he was well known through out in the  unified State of Andhra Pradesh. Already many of his published articles , papers, and letters ( which he received from well known people) were lost. I will upload and post them in the blog whatever little left overs are with me  as a memorable literary monument to my father. My eldest brother Late Venkata Ratnam (1936-2010)  had  preserved all of my father's books and papers  for a long time till 2010. But unfortunately he too passed away and those papers and books were damaged due to age related degeneration. What came to my possession are a  few which I tried to scan and preserve as digital copies. In the year 2014 my nephew, and name's sake of my father, Dr. D.V. Siva Rao Connecticut, U.S.A  did yeomen service in getting digitized as many as 28 books authored by father. My first priority is to make these digitized books  and also as many of his published articles accessible to public. I will shortly start uploading them here.

                                                DIGAVALLI VENKATA SIVARAO (1898-1992)

I think he started publishing his works from  1922 or even earlier. Out of about  40 books he authored, 28 books were digitized .His published articles were about  300 or so. About  half of  these articles  were compiled in the book form under the title కథలు-గాధలు 6 parts ( part 6 is yet to be released by the publishers, Navachetana Book publishers, Hyderabad). Of the remaining articles I have few original publications which I scanned and preserved .

All the  28 digitized books which I want to post here are in PTIFF format. I am seeking help of some friends for their conversion to PDF. Meanwhile I will post  his published articles here.

So, I  started posting his published essays.Having posted about 130 essays , now I will post letters from some prominent people.
